It's official.
In 2018, we decided to move our production from Richmond, Virginia to the Catskills, New York. Richmond, Virginia was good to us, but as the company grows, so do our needs. Now, I can make the drive from my office in Brooklyn to the rolling hills of New York. We can develop more custom cheese-wares, and I can forage for mushrooms after a work day is complete.
Our new location is in East Durham, NY, and I have been lucky enough to stay at this wonderful farmhouse from the 1800s each time I visit. There is a small community of Brooklyniites who have found their rural oasis up here, and I'm excited to be joining them.
Our new woodworker is Donovan, based out of East Durham, New York. He has years of experience as a cabinet and furniture maker, as well as an engineer. His attention to detail is impeccable, and matches the Cheese Grotto standard.
We're very proud to be able to now call ourselves a New York-made item.

Jan! Thank you so much for the kind words. I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer, and keep in touch on your cheesy journey.
Hello !
I thank you for the update on your
New York move !
I find a connection to people that let a customer ( friend ) know what’s going on in the life !
I am very pleased that you get to go mushroom hunting after work ( if you choose to do so !)
I began looking at cheese the cheese grotto because our then new daughter in law is a foodie which now rubs off onto my husband and me.
God bless you in your move and future.
Thank you again for an enjoyable short story and great photo
