What's in Your Grotto? Sunday, May 18th
Calling all cheese lovers interested in learning more about storing and serving different styles of cheese! We'd love to see you at this free upcoming event for Cheese Grotto storage owners and new customers alike!
On Sunday, May 18th at 4:00pm Eastern Time, join Cheese Grotto founder and inventor Jessica Sennett and Certified Cheese Professional Kerry Jerred (she's also our Customer Service lead, and one of the very first Grotto owners from 2016!). Together, they'll be reviewing best storage practices in the refrigerator! As the weather heats up over 70 degrees F, and your kitchen becomes the hot and steamy location in the house, the best place to store that Grotto is in the refrigerator. Though we love countertop Grotto storage during the winter months when the ambient temperature is around 66 degrees (yes, we wear sweaters!), cheese ripens much faster at warmer temperatures. The Grotto was rigorously tested by leading Canadian dairy scientists and New York cheese experts to successfully prolong the shelf-life of your cheese when stored in the fridge. Jessica and Kerry will share images and videos of their cheeses stored in the refrigerated Grotto over weeks, so we can all take note of the gradual nuances and changes of different cheese types as they are stored, unwrapped.
Here is your opportunity to chat with other Cheese Grotto customers, swap stories, share pictures, and ask questions. Just like a family reunion, but without potato salad! As always, having artisan cheese to munch on is strongly recommended, but not required.
We hope you can make it!
