About the Producer

Roth Cheese traces its roots to 1863, when Oswald Roth founded a cheesemaking business in Switzerland specializing in Emmentaler. His son Otto later brought the company to New York, where it grew into the largest specialty cheese importer in the U.S. by the 1970s. In 1990, cousins Felix Roth and Fermo Jaeckle established Roth Käse USA in Monroe, Wisconsin—chosen for its strong Swiss heritage—where they continued the family tradition of crafting Swiss-inspired cheeses.
