For Father's Day we're celebrating with inventive cheeses that take whiskey, Scotch ale, and tequila and infuse them into the cheese curds before aging. The result is a depth of flavor and an essence of each spirit that pairs wonderfully with spicy chorizo, Spanish romesco, and freshly-dried crispy orange slices.
Tulip Tree Creamery is producing a limited-release of White Oak cheese — exclusively for us!— featuring a Kentucky whiskey, Fortune's Fool, which is one of the only female-owned whiskey brands in the United States. Lively Run Dairy's Shire Gouda is made in collaboration with New York's Hopshire Farm & Brewery, where their Shire Scotch ale is blended with the curds before forming the final cheese. Deer Creek Cheese's The Rattlesnake is an exceptional flavor experience — spicy, sweet, tropical, and HOT. They start with a smooth, creamy, medium aged Cheddar curd recipe and infuse it with premium gold tequila and Habanero peppers.
